Going to college was always something I really wanted to do, but attending an American college seemed like an impossible dream to me, a dream that I so much wanted to come true. Now I have an opportunity to achieve this dream.

Why do I want to go to an American college? There are many different reasons - to gain the knowledge, to learn more, to develop myself intellectually, to meet new people, to grow... College is something one needs to go through, no matter what! The education we all get in high school is not enough; it is only the early beginning, the very start of one.s education – to continue it one goes to college.

But why American College?

I would like to focus my education on International Relations and Economics. Unfortunately, these two areas of education are not very well taught in Russia at this time. With the country starting to develop itself only in the past couple of years, it is difficult to learn what is yet to come. In the United States, however, I can learn Economics and International Relations. I think there are so many opportunities for Russia and the United States if they were to work together. I would love to have a career that would have something to do with working with these two great countries and finding their "comparative advantages".

In order to make this dream come true, an education from an American college is a must.
