"Why should I help her?" you ask. And this is a good question. Why should you?

I cannot tell you that I will change the world, I cannot promise you that you will directly benefit from helping me. What I can tell you though is that you will help me to take another step toward reaching my goal. I want to help people, to make a change for the better in their lives.

In March 2000, I won a competition among international students and went to Washington DC for a week to attend a workshop on democracy. It was a wonderful week in my life. I learned so many different things about government and how it works, who actually governs and how, and the communication between government and the people.

But there is one thing, one principle to be exact, that I learned and that I consider to be the most important: one person can make a difference – each one of us with the willingness to work hard can make a difference in this world. I did not know about that before. I did not realize that and did not believe in it, but now I do, and now I have a goal: to make a difference in people.s lives. In order to achieve my goal, I have to have good education, and I so much want to have it! I so much want to go to college! And here is where I need your help.

I have to come up with heavy tuition costs every year. It does not matter whether you can give me $10 or $10,000. If you have any funds available or if you can give me some advice, please help me, and believe me, any kind of help for me right now will have a huge impact on my entire future. It will make a difference.
